In Baltimore City, many local positions—including Democratic Central Committee seats—are decided in the Democratic Primary. That means if you’re registered as a Democrat and live in District 41, your vote here matters most for this race.
Who can vote in this primary election?
You can vote in this primary if you:
- Are registered as a Democrat
- Live in Baltimore City
- Reside within District 41
- Will be at least 18 years old by the general election
Voters registered as unaffiliated or with another party cannot vote in the Democratic Primary unless they change their registration before the deadline.
When is the Baltimore City Democratic Primary (2026)?
Here are the key dates for the 2026 primary cycle in Maryland:
- Primary Election Day: Tuesday, June 23, 2026
- Voter Registration & Party Affiliation Deadline: Tuesday, June 2, 2026
- Early Voting Period: Thursday, June 11 through Thursday, June 18, 2026
- Mail-In Ballot Request Deadlines:
- Ballot delivered by mail/fax: Tuesday, June 16, 2026
- Ballot delivered via internet/email/fax: Friday, June 19, 2026

1. In-Person on Election Day (June 23, 2026)

- Polls are open 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
2. Early Voting (June 11–18, 2026)
- Vote early at any designated early voting center in Baltimore City
- No assigned polling place during early voting
3. Mail-In Voting
- Request a mail-in ballot by the deadlines above
- Return your ballot by mail, ballot drop box, early voting center, or local board by 8:00 p.m. on Election Day
